Johann Strauss Anniversary Tourbillon
This extraordinary timepiece was created to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the ‘Waltz King’s’ birth on 25 October 2025.
It is an exclusive, handcrafted one-off piece. At the centre of the dial, a tourbillon crowned by a faceted sapphire forms the heart of the watch. The hands, representing the body and sound holes of a violin, circle the tourbillon and display the time on the guilloché German silver dial. The entire piece fits into a violin that displays the first two bars of Austria’s secret anthem, the Blue Danube Waltz, on the fingerboard. Powered by an electromechanical lever escapement, the clock does not need to be wound by hand.
This is a mechanical tribute to the great master, in which the tourbillon spins in circles instead of lively dancing couples.
